The All That Malarkey guy Andy Clarke makes some great and interesting comments on Web Standards and Accessibility in Latest Accessibility News on Accessify | Interview with Andy Clarke (AKA Accessibility, the gloves come off) on Accessify.com. I agree with most of what he says. Using 1996 coding, as many sites still do, is plain lazy. And, not making your sites accessible to as many folks as possible, regardless of ability or disability, is insensitive. I know it’s hard to learn some of this stuff, but if you’re a “Web professional,” it behooves you to try. If I can learn it, anyone can.
